System Alignment

CEC believes that any transformational school or district must be supported by an aligned system, where resources, structures, and processes are district-wide.

The process of identifying school or district needs and aligning them with available resources begins with a system assessment, which diagnoses areas where better alignment is necessary.

CEC then helps establish a District Partnership Council, which includes representatives of the district’s school board, union, and administration. The group sets annual and multi-year performance goals, provides resources, and facilitates necessary changes to district policy or contracts. In addition, the partnership council is responsible for building district-wide capacity to learn from any successes and replicate them across the district.
