Instructional Effectiveness

CEC helps schools and districts to align standards, learning targets, assessment, feedback, instruction, differentiation, and interventions across districts, schools, classrooms, and grade levels.

In this way, CEC provides schools and districts with the tools, strategies, and processes to answer three critical questions:

  • Where are you trying to go with learning?
  • Where are you now?
  • How will you get there?

Services

Standards/Common Learning Targets

CEC helps districts/schools establish common learning targets, which are aligned with state standards. Coaching and support provide guidance in curriculum mapping and in the development of examples and models of what the learning targets look like when attained at a high-quality level.

Aligned Assessments/Feedback

Aligned assessments provide critical feedback on student performance relative to each learning target. This allows students to identify what they know and what knowledge they have yet to master.

Instruction: Differentiation/Interventions

Professional development, coaching, and support ensure that instructional differentiation and interventions are effective and aligned with common learning targets.
