Cindy Worner

Dr. Cindy Worner works with school districts that wish to redesign their evaluation system while also providing teachers with some additional, mentoring support. In her work, she helps teachers and administrators develop an understanding of the Charlotte Danielson Framework. Once an understanding of the Framework has been developed, she further assists and supports teachers and administrators as they learn how to use the Framework during the evaluation/mentoring process. She also assists with the implementation of the New Teachers Center Principal Coaching Program (CLASS-Coaching Leaders to Attain Student Success) in Illinois.
Before coming to CEC, Dr. Worner worked in Pekin District 108 as a 4-6 Assistant Principal for three years and a K-3 principal for the last fourteen years. While in the district, she helped plan and implement the new evaluation system based on the Danielson Framework. She also served as a new principal mentor and has coordinated the Title I grant. Prior to her becoming an administrator, she was a classroom teacher for grades second and fourth and a language arts teacher for grades six through eight. She was also a reading specialist for grades five through eight.
Dr. Worner has a Bachelor’s Degree from Illinois State University in Elementary Education. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Reading and has a Doctorate in Educational Administration from Illinois State University.
