Bill DuBois


Bill DuBois is new addition to consultant work with CEC, although has been associated with CEC since the early 1990’s. Bill’s work with CEC will center on Framework, evaluator, and mentor training .

Bill spent his entire 33 year public education career in Elgin School District U-46 where, among other things, he was instrumental in developing and implementing an award winning mentoring and induction program, a new teacher evaluation/appraisal program, and building a Teacher Effectiveness Initiative Department which focused on critical aspects of teacher, administrator, and system effectiveness all in the support of enhanced practice to improve student learning experiences.

Bill has taught and coached at the elementary, middle and high school levels and spent the last nine years of his career in Elgin as a member of the human resources and curriculum and instruction departments at the U-46 central office. In addition, Bill was an active member of the NEA, IEA, and the Elgin Teachers Association. In addition to serving as a building rep, ETA Board of Director member, and Vice-President of the ETA, he was a member of collective bargaining teams and a host of local, state, and national committees and activities.

Bill received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Elementary Education from Western Illinois University in 1978 and a Masters in Educational Administration from Northern Illinois University in 1985. He was honored as the Kane County Educator of the Year in 2001 and the Illinois State Board of Education Those Who Excel Award of Special Recognition in 2003. In 2006, Bill became a National Board Certified Teacher.
